Weekend update!

Good morning yall! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We had some lovely weather here in Charleston the past few days and got to spend lots of time outside to enjoy it. On Friday, I took a walk over my lunch break down to the Battery and with this sweet new app that my cousin turned me on to, I took some really neat panaramic pics...see below.

How cool is that??! The app is called DMD Panorama and for $1.99, I think it's totally worth it.

On Friday night, we grilled some delicious turkey burgers and had a night in. We're old, you see, so we don't go out and do the party thang very much anymore. It's totally okay with me though, I'm especially loving staying home with our little pup and snugging it up on the couch.

Saturday was to be Gunner's first trip to the beach. It was the perfect day, but it ended quickly when I slipped on a rock and cut my hand open on an oyster shell then off to urgent care we went. :( I was in a slight panic because I was convinced I needed stitches, thank God S was there to calm me down. He was so sweet the whole time and took the BEST care of me.

Apparently if you are bleeding when you arrive at urgent care, that means no wait! It didn't take long to take a couple x-rays and clean me up. Luckily, the PA informed me that she was not going to give me stitches because of how I cut myself (oysters are icky and germy and can cause infection.) So, a couple butterfly strips, a band-aid, and a tetanus shot later, I was good to go. They even gave me my x-rays on a CD which I got to take home and share with you all. I've never really seen an x-ray up close and personal so I thought this was pretty neat! Don't worry, the next few pics are not graphic whatsoever.

 Everything is a-ok!

After the doctor, we went and got a shiny new membership to Costco, which I am SUPER excited about. We got there kind of late and they were about to close so we didn't get much shopping in (who closes at 6pm on a Saturday anyway??) I can't wait to go back (maybe this weekend?) and spend my paycheck check out the rest of the goodies they have there.

Yesterday was the oyster roast that I have been talking about for days. It gives me something else besides the holidays to look forward during winter. If you like to eat oysters, you might know that you should only eat them during the months that have an "r" in the name.

We brought Gunner to the oyster roast with us and he was a hit! Everyone loved him, I couldn't believe how many people approached us to chat us up about him. It also seemed like they all also had GSPs!

It won't take long before he's too big to be a "lap dog"!

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and cheers to a new week!
