**Weekend Update**

I decided to take a "mental health day" yesterday so unfortunately that meant that I did not get around to blogging either. I didn't sleep well Sunday night and thought that I could use some "me" time which of course included not only a trip to the gym, but some retail therapy, too!

Overall, we had a pretty great weekend and got to hang out with some good friends, old and new :)

On Friday afternoon, I went and picked up my new glasses and they came with the cutest case. Tory Burch for the win!

Don't mind my weird "no teeth" smile...

Friday night, we went to a surprise 30th birthday party for a good friend at Stars Rooftop. It was a really nice evening and since we got there before dark, there was a really pretty view. No pictures though unfortunately. After the party (more like happy hour), S and I went out for sushi, which has quickly turned into our usual Friday night date.

On Saturday, we headed up to the lake again and it was an absolute beautiful day. I even got some sun! It was super windy and gusty so we didn't stay out on the sailboat long, which didn't really bother me because it was soo nice out. We had plenty of time to hangout and grill. There may have also been moonshine involved.

Sooo much pollen around here these days!!

On Saturday night, we met up with a couple other couples for dinner at Anson then more vino at Social. The night somehow ended with dancing at Mad River (I had nothing to do with that.....)

One of my favorite buildings in Charleston, the U.S. Custom House...

Sunday was pretty low key, we went for brunch at Rita's with a friend and her son, he is seriously one of the cutest kids I know.

We then took Gunner to the dog park and spent the rest of the day lounging, doing laundry, and I got my food shopping in for the week. I didn't get to post my meal plan last week for this week, but here is what I decided on:

Monday - Pasta Night
Tuesday - Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Red Potatoes and a veggie
Wednesday - Bangin' Shrimp Skewers and Vegetable Fried Rice (Trader Joe's)
Thursday - Mahi Mahi with Whole Wheat Cous Cous w/ Parmesan and Peas

That pretty much concludes our weekend. My day off yesterday, like I mentioned previously, included a two hour trip to the gym (Body Flow & Body Pump) and a little shopping trip. I also started a new book, 'Something Borrowed'. I know it's a popular one so I'm sure many of you have read it or at least heard of it :)

I'm on a huge reading kick right now and you can find me here on Goodreads!I'm also always looking for recommendations so please feel free to comment with any that you can think of!

I will leave you all today with some pictures that I took last night.

Hope you're all having a great Tuesday!!

Your glasses are so cute! Glad you had a good weekend. Personal days are the best. As soon as the pup is here a few more days, I'm headed out on the town for shopping, starbucks and a pedicure. lol.

I'm on Goodreads if you want to be "friends" haha - http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/3715648-taryn

And this pollen is killing me. My black car is a gross yellowish-green at the moment, and my boyfriend's entire face is puffy from allergies.

Cute glasses on you! I haven't read "Something Borrowed" yet, but I love Emily Griffin's books in general so I'm sure that one is great too. Sounds like a fun filled weekend! :)
