Since we started the move over the new house, I was on Pinterest yesterday looking for a new color to paint the third bedroom. The room is on the small side and is currently painted a dark red. I'm not a fan of the color at all and I think that it would really open up and brighten the room if we paint it a much lighter, neutral color.
Here is a picture of the room right now (the furniture in the room is not ours, this is a picture from the previous tenant.)
I know that grays are in right now and I'm a HUGE fan.
After doing a little research online, I came across a website called Houzz.com. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever heard of it, but I think it might be my new favorite website! There are thousands of pictures of rooms that have been redone by various designers. You can ask questions about the furniture or other accents they used and some of them already list things like paint color, etc. I think it's a great resource for those who are looking to redesign.
I pinned several rooms to get some ideas on which gray to choose.

Right now I'm kind of leaning toward Top Sail or the BM AC 30. Does anyone have any experience painting with grays? I would love to hear your recommendations!

I love all these grays! If/when we repaint our house we are hoping to go with a gray theme! :)
Since you're painting over red, you might need a primer underneath. Or you can paint the wall yellow then grey. Yellow covers most everything.

I love all of these, but especially the first picture.
Everytime I thought I said "oh that one is my favorite", the next photo would appear. I like the bluish-grey tones the best!

I've heard of houzz, but have never used it! I'll have to look at it when we get to picking out stuff for the new place! LOVE the greys! I've been pushing for a grey bedroom for the next house :)
