Maybe even sooner if I can convince my boss to let me leave a little earlier. He's so laid back, he would probably kick me out even sooner if I told him I was leaving for Florida right after work:p
My first stop will be in Orlando for the night then off to Fort Myers tomorrow morning!
It hasn't quite gotten warm enough to get out to the beach around here yet so it will be nice to be somewhere toasty warm and to get a head start on my tan.
The reason why I am heading to FL is for my cousin's wedding. It's going to be a very small wedding, just close family. They are not registered anywhere or anything like that so I decided that I would put my DIY skills to the test and make them something that I saw on Pinterest.
I really wanted to make something with a monogram so I did some searching around and decided on a wreath. This is the one that I used for "Pinsperation" :)

I love hydrangeas and I thought it would make a nice wreath that they could use throughout the Spring and Summer. Here is how mine turned out!
(Sorry for the kitchen floor picture)
I originally wanted to put the letter on the lower right hand part of the wreath, but my hot glue gun wasn't cutting it. I had to come up with another way of adhering the "M" to the wreath. I considered suspending it from the top and have it hang in the middle, but I didn't like the way that looked, plus it wouldn't hang straight. I then decided on tying it to the wreath instead so it would be more secure.
I am actually pretty happy with how it turned out and I like that the "M" isn't right up against the wreath because it stands out more against a lighter background.
The only thing I would have done differently now that I am looking at the two, side-by-side, is added more flowers. I guess that's what I get when I show up to Hobby Lobby ten minutes before they close and I have to fly through the store trying to grab everything I need. Oops! I'm still happy with it though :)

One more thing that I've been meaning to blog about is last month's Cara Box exchange. For March, the theme was "My name is..." and I got paired up with Leanne from Top This. She was the sweetest and hooked me up with some of my favorite things!
I see lots of "K"s in this box! I loved the candy (of course) and Kit Kats are one of my favorites. I also really loved the cute little "K" and "S" letters she sent me. I can't wait to incorporate those into a future crafting project :)
Lastly, she sent me a little photo album and journal to document our adventures and a book that I'm looking forward to reading.
Thanks again Leanne!!!
I also got matched up with Jennifer over at Part of that World, hop on over and check out what I got here!
