Shutterfly Live Event & 100th Post!

Happy Monday y'all. I have some exciting news today! First of all, this is my 100th post at Honor Courage Commitment. Thank you all so much for following and I look forward to all the future holds for my baby blog. :) And, on that note, I was recently invited to a Shutterfly Live event and was given the opportunity to learn about some new Shutterfly products and present a giveaway to all of my beautiful readers!

I am very excited as this is my first giveaway EVER and it is for a $50 gift certificate to spend on whatever your heart desires at Shutterfly.com.

The event that I attended, took place at the ever-so-yummy Italian restaurant, Bocci's, in downtown Charleston. You all know how much I loveee going out to eat, especially downtown, so who am I to say no?

During the event, I got to meet a great group of bloggers from the Charleston area. Everyone's blog seem to have it's own niche from couponing to photography to interior design. My girl, Lindsey, from Lounging with Lindsey, also got invited so it was nice to see a familiar face :)

(I'm second from the right and Linds is next to me on the end!)

We were given some information about some great new products from Shutterfly and got to see some great samples. In the past, I have used Shutterfly to create a magnet, a calendar, a photo book, and Christmas cards. I have always been pleased with the quality and their prices always seem to beat out the competition.

Here are some of the samples of the new products we saw from Shutterfly:

Adorable Christmas cards (I ordered mine last year from Shutterfly)

A beautiful photo blanket (even cuter in person!)

And they also had some products that I didn't even know about...

Customized iPhone cases

Super cute ornaments

Wall art, etc.

The latest feature that Shutterfly has added to it's website, is how to plan your Ideal Family Photo Day. There are so many great tips on how to capture some great shots to create all of the neat projects above. Personally, I think my Ideal Family Photo Day would include a trip to one of Charleston's beautiful plantations. There are so many great opportunities and gorgeous backdrops where you could snap some great photos. What would your Ideal Family Photo Day look like?

If you have some great photos that you would love to turn into cards or gifts, you can enter my giveaway for $50 to Shutterfly.com! I will pick the winner one week from today.

Thanks for visiting!

In full-fledged Christmas spirit!

Many of you shared gifts that you have bought/ plan on buying for your significant other and I thought I would share what I have in mind for S. He is an avid golfer and a huge UK fan so he's not too hard to shop for :)

The first thing I thought of and am definitely getting him:

He not so subtly hinted that he wanted one of these (he doesn't know it yet, but I was already planning on buying him a new one)

He really needs... (the case that it is)

I know he really wants this, but not sure if I"m going to get it for him yet..

A few other ideas I've had for him...

I think this could be a great idea for a guy.. Did I mention that I recently subscribed? I'm super excited and I think a lot of guys would love to get a little package in the mail every month with some goodies to try out. Don't get me wrong though, by no means is S the metro type (totally the hunting, fishing, hiking, manly-man-type), but I think he would still secretly like this ;)

I can't wait for S to come to Connecticut this year (I went to Kentucky last year) and we are still planning a trip to snowy Vermont for New Year's :) I still can't believe that I will be able to go home for over two weeks (16 days total). Just one more reason why I LOVE my job. I don't even think my teacher friends can say that!

He won't actually get there until a couple days after Christmas, but will still be there for at least a week. We have yet to get a tree for our apartment (it will probably be a mini tree this year) and I am sooo excited to go to the Festival of Lights at James Island County Park again this year. My favorite part is the fire pits where you can make s'mores, my favoriteeeee<3

From two years ago:

Who doesn't love Christmas lights on palm trees?

Last, but not least, tonight is the Navy Christmas Ball! I'm leaving work a little early to get ready and cocktail hour starts at 1900 sharp. There may or may not be a little pre-gaming going on before that ;) We picked out a new suit for S last night as they are not required to wear their dress uniforms to this event and he looks super sharp and handsome, can't wait!

Pictures to come!

Hope y'all enjoy your Friday and the weekend! Anyone have any fun plans???
